BEIJING, Aug. 3 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Langchao and Microsoft have finished the build out of an Offsite Development Center (ODC) located on Langchao's premises in Beijing. After completion of rigorous security and quality inspections by both Microsoft and Langchao, the ODC went into production recently on July 29. It is expected that the ODC will substantially enhance Langchao's capabilities to perform outsourcing orders for Microsoft.

Microsoft said that the ODC is one of the first certified outsourcing working environments in China and forms part of Microsoft's strategic commitment to China. Microsoft has always had very strict requirements regarding both outsourcing services providers as well as the use of offsite development centers. The ODC will greatly increase the efficiency of outsourcing collaborations between Langchao and Microsoft.

Mr. Eric Kong Lee, Langchao's executive in charge of all international and outsourcing business said: "The establishment of the ODC is a significant milestone and strengthens the partnership between Langchao and Microsoft. It is also a testimony of Langchao's capabilities to take on large scale international outsourcing projects."

In order to increase coverage in the China market, Microsoft has strengthened its partnerships with Chinese enterprises in the past few years. This goes hand in hand with Langchao's strategy of cooperating with international market leaders and developing presence in domestic and overseas markets. After the signing of the strategic partnership agreement in November 2004, both parties have worked closely together in .Net platforms, application software, ERP solutions, OEM for PC server business and other sectors.

Langchao started outsourcing business in September 2001 with the set up of the division for overseas software applications development. In February of 2003, Langchao Worldwide Services Ltd. (LCW) was established to take care of all of Langchao Group's software outsourcing business worldwide. To date, LCW has four development centers in China, located respectively in Jinan, Shanghai, Qingdao, and Beijing. LCW established subsidiaries in Japan and the US to support the growing international outsourcing market. Over the last several years, LCW has developed business partnerships with many leading enterprises worldwide including Microsoft.
