Australian Photovoltaic Firm Buys 10MW From China Sunergy
NUE PTY, a photovoltaic firm based in Victoria, Australia has signed a series of purchase contracts with China Sunergy Company, a specialized solar cell manufacturer based in Nanjing.
China Sunergy expects to ship up to a total of 10MW of monocrystalline solar modules, which are manufactured under sub-contracted OEM arrangement, to NU Energy, with partial shipments having begun in June 2009 and the full delivery under these contracts scheduled to be completed by early 2010 with ongoing contracts anticipated.
According to Dr. Ruennsheng Allen Wang, a director and the CEO of China Sunergy, Australia represents a new market for the company as their sales efforts continue to generate results, both domestically and internationally, and they plan to further diversify their sales channels.
NU Energy's chief executive officer, Simon Schauble, commented that NU Energy is one of Australia's largest solar companies, and these orders, totalling 10MW, show the strong confidence they have in their ongoing partnership with China Sunergy.
