China, US establish plane manufacturing JV
On August 12, 2009, AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry (Group) Company Ltd. and U.S. Goodrich Corporation established two joint ventures holding 50 percent shares respectively. Those two companies will embark on specialized production of civil aircraft nacelle and landing gear separately.
AVIC Xi’an Aircraft Industry (Group) Company Ltd. and U.S. Goodrich Corporation are among the world’s top 500 companies.
The two newly-established joint ventures will locate in Xi'an Yanliang National Aviation Hi-Tech Industrial Base, which will combine the leading advances on civil aircraft nacelle technology and landing gear from Goodrich Corporation with the superior production on high-quality aircraft products together.
This will make the manufacturing level on civil aircraft nacelle and landing gear improve, and also form a complete industrial chain with R&D, manufacturing, testing, obtaining evidence and after-sales services in the civil aircraft nacelle and landing gear industry.
