China's Dongfeng Motor Company Limited began a national recall of 5,014 sedans due to suspension flaws.
China's Dongfeng Motor Company Limited began a national recall of 5,014 sedans due to suspension flaws, according to the country's quality supervisor here.
The recalled model of Sunny was manufactured between Feb. 9, and Sept. 30, 2006, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ).
In the report submitted to the GAQSIQ, Dongfeng promised to repair all defective vehicles to eliminate risks as the suspension parts may separate due to welding flaws, which may lead to wheel twittering and tire abrasion.
The Wuhan-base company said its franchised Dongfeng Nissan outlets would notify customers of the recall through mail or phone calls.
Established in 2003 as a result of the strategic cooperation between Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Nissan Motors Co, the company has a registered capital of 16.7 billion yuan, with its equity equally shared by both parties.
