On March 4, 2009, the 3rd Chinese manufacturing CIO annual forum was successfully hosted by e-works in Beijing. It’s also an award ceremony the 6th Chinese manufacturing annual appraisal. Over 500 VIPs including more than 300 CIO from hundreds of well-known Chinese manufacturing companies attended this great event.

 

Professor Peigen Li, the President of HUST(Huazhong University of Science and Technology), the fellow of Chinese Engineering Academy and the Chairman of e-works, announced “Ten hot topics in IT application of Chinese manufacturing in 2008” and “Ten hot topics in Chinese manufacturing in 2008”. Professor Pei Huang, the General Manager of e-works announced “The investment of Chinese manufacturing in 2009”.

The appraisal selected Top 100 “Outstanding and excellent CIO of Chinese manufacturing IT application in 2008”.

 

100 enterprises were honored as “Best practice and excellent deployment of IT project of Chinese manufacturing in 2008”.

Lenovo, HP, IBM, Siemens PLM software, UFIDA, CAXA, RSIO and QAD were awarded as “Outstanding Contribution of Chinese manufacturing IT application in 2008”.

 

45 vendors won the prize of “Excellent vendors of Chinese manufacturing IT application in 2008”.

 

35 products were selected as “Excellent products in IT application of Chinese manufacturing in 2008”.

The attendees all showed their great confidence to Chinese manufacturing. Though it is a challenge for the further development in the recession, with the greater investment of IT application and the government stimulus program, Chinese manufacturing are facing a new opportunity.
