Lenovo becomes No 1 in computer battle
Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group has again become the No 1 player in the field.
Global technology market research house International Data Corp (IDC) said yesterday that Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group has again become the No 1 player in the field, overtaking HP in the Asia Pacific region in the second quarter of this year. This has been achieved with a seasonal rebounding of the Chinese market and with the acquisition of IBM's personal computer unit.
Lenovo, HP, Dell, Founder Technology, and Acer were the top five players in the market with Lenovo taking a 19 per cent share and HP taking 12.3 per cent.
