The Shanghai-listed Beiqi Foton Motor said it sold 45,102 vehicles in February, up 10.60 percent from a year earlier, and 131.79 from January.

The Beijing-based automaker said that heavy truck sales in February fell more than 50 percent from a year earlier to 2,509 units, but was up 96.78 percent from January. Sales of other models, including light truck, sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) in the same month rose more than 35 percent from January. But the company said it sold only 39 units of large- and medium-sized buses in February, a decrease of 45.2 percent from a year earlier and 65.79 percent from January.
