It seems like the cosmetics industry has already invaded the Chinese market. Ma Ya, director of the provincial association of beauty parlors and hairdressers said that Guangdong Province is set to be developed as the leading supplier of cosmetics and personal care products.

Guangdong Province is already manufacturing one-thirds of the China’s leading cosmetics brand. The province is also the host of the annual International Beauty Import-Export Expo which is the largest event of its kind in China. This is an opportunity for Guangdong to attract investors in their place. The cosmetics industry in China is currently estimated around CNY 50 billion ($6bn) and is expected to grow up to CNY 80 billion by the year 2010.

Guangdong has a population of 80 million is one of the developed provinces in Southern China. It is also the host for other industries like electronics, energy industries, and import-export businesses.
