Jan 18-19,2008 Autodesk Inventor Chinese user forum held in Shanghai grandly. Over 200 inventor application master-hands came from more than 100 enterprises and 20 universities attended this forum. This forum aimed to promote application of inventor in different industries, provide a chance for Autodesk manufacturing users gathered together to share experiences, learn from each other, boost the value of Inventor's usability in enterprises.

Autodesk Global vice president Dr. Anagnost presented the forum, delivered a speech theme with "The move from 3D design to Digital Prototyping". Dr. Anagnost began with an introduction of how to make use of digital technology to become the best-in-class manufacturing in the world, then he specified digital prototyping, which support innovation in three aspects-people, processes, technology. He also shared the future developing strategy of Autodesk with attendees. Dr. Anagnost pointed out: "the best-in-class manufacturing use digital technology in project at the very beginning, then extend their design capabilities to every field like simulation, analysis, processing ". He hopes that deeply application of inventor can help Chinese enterprises make a better development. Representatives from Grant Membrane Equipment (Beijing),Ltd, Hongsong precision-machined Shanghai Co., Ltd, Beijing Zhonghuan Kinetics Heavy Vehicles Co., Ltd, Coloplast(China),Ltd, based on different features of their products, shared their success story of using Inventor. They all pointed out that by using inventor, the product design period has been shortened; quality and performance had been improved greatly.

In the sub-forum, Autodesk global solution senior manager Jay Tedeschi, Inventor authoritative instructor Chen boxiong, Chen yawei, Ma maolin and professor Liu zhiguo from Tsinghua University Industrial Design Department gave speeches respectively on the topic of large scale assembly and dynamic simulation, design association, standard library release and application, assembly technology and strategy, render and etc. The wonderful speech and excellent function of Inventor won unanimous applause.

During the skill discussion section, organizer formed Inventor masters into 14 groups according to the feature of their products,　master-hands shared their experiences and skills, advices, opinions, lead the topic of Inventor application into a higher level.

In the interesting competition section, Inventor master-hands joined with huge enthusiasm to show themselves. At last, designers from SJS Ltd, (Shanghai )Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd, Weihai Shanghai Packaging Equipment factory completely showed their excellent skills on using Inventor.

On the forum, 10 designers were awarded with "2007 Top 10 works of Inventor Chinese manufacturing super user", they are designers from Shanghai Purlux Machinery Co., Ltd, Shanghai Zhenghua Port Machinery Co., Ltd, Weihai Shanghai Packaging Equipment factory, Beijing Zhonghuan Kinetics Heavy Vehicles Co., Ltd, Beinjing CRP Metallurgical Equipment Factory, MCCE, Amphenol East Asia Electronic Technology (ShenZhen) Co., Ltd, Coloplast (China),Ltd, SJS Ltd, Hunan Kangpu Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. All these works were chosen from over 800 works.

This is the first Inventor master forum held in Chinese mainland, most attendees said they gained a lot from this and hope the forum will be held again in the future. This forum is also been strongly supported by HP, Nvidia. During the meeting, Hp and Nvidia send experts resolve many relative questions on the spot.
