Chinese semiconductor manufacturer Xena Technologies has gone live with SoftBrands FourthShift Edition for SAP Business One. SoftBrands, Inc. , a global supplier of enterprise application software, is a global ISV partner of SAP AG. Xena Technologies’ manufacturing operations, which produce semiconductor testing equipment, are located in Suzhou, China. The company is headquartered in Singapore and also has facilities in Texas. Within a month of implementation, the company is already seeing clear benefits from the new ERP system.
"We just finished our first month-end closing with FourthShift Edition, and although it takes some time to get used to doing things differently, the process went very well," said Sandra Small, president of Xena Technologies. "We get solid, valuable data from the FourthShift system, and the financial reports are clear and directly helpful."
SoftBrands opened its first China office in 1989, and the company now has more than 400 customers in China. FourthShift Edition for SAP Business One combines strong manufacturing functionality with the strength and security of SAP, the worldwide leader in business software solutions. FourthShift Edition provides small and midsize companies with an affordable, easy to use solution that can be used to meet the needs of independent manufacturers and subsidiaries of large organizations that want to standardize on SAP-centric solutions. The system is designed for manufacturers in nine specific vertical markets: semiconductors, food and beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastics, medical devices, industrial machinery, electronics, and automotive.
"The financial reporting, manufacturing planning and component handling functionality are critical for us," Small said. "We are glad to have such a solid system up and running so quickly."
