Bangkok – UFIDA Software Co. Ltd. of Beijing worked with Cisco Systems, APC Thailand and IDC Asia Pacific to headline the IDC Manufacturing Insights conference in Thailand on November 15, 2006. The conference brought together practitioners from all aspects of “People, Process and Technology,” the core components of IT Economics, and executives of Thailand SMEs from several industry sectors. UFIDA was the preferred software vendor at the event, lending expertise on IT transformation within the “Triple-Chain” supply chain of a manufacturer: material chain, information chain and financial chain.

The event included a keynote speech by UFIDA’s VP International Business Division, Mr. Wu Qiang. Mr. Wu shared UFIDA’s vision for “Real-time Enterprise, Global Business” and later shared some of UFIDA’s successful cases in Thailand. Mr. Wu noted that Thailand SMEs “face challenges in transforming their businesses to meet the needs of a more diverse, global customer

and supplier base,” and that advanced enterprise management solutions are needed to enable the transition. He went on to point out that integrating technology such as mobile applications and service oriented architecture (SOA) will be “fundamental components of the real-time enterprise.” “In addition,” said Mr. Wu, “it is critical to select a long-term partner who is committed to delivery and support of the solution.”

Enterprise Soft, a Thailand-based distributor of UFIDA ERP, was also on hand to support inquiries from Thai manufacturers. Enterprise Soft staff shared expertise in UFIDA enterprise management solutions for the electronics, trade/logistics and steel industry sectors. Event attendees were able to

view U8 product solutions for triple-chain integration, production planning and extended supply chain management such as automated barcode solutions. “Events such as this give us the chance to promote an advanced application suite suitable for local Thai manufacturers,” said Enterprise Soft Managing Director Woravat Silvilairat.

Later, a “People, Process, Technology” panel discussion was held joining experts on enterprise applications and resource training from Thailand universities, Supply-chain Council appointed process optimization specialists and ICT experts from UFIDA Software.

The event accentuates UFIDA’s growth in the Asia Pacific region, as the firm looks to further expand its market position in Asia. Said Mr. Silvilairat, “We have found strength in the local SME market due to UFIDA’s depth in functions and reasonable price when compare with competitors.” As a result of recent activity, UFIDA already has several successful cases in Thailand as the firm completes localization of its U8 product. Per Mr. Wu, in 2007 “UFIDA will continue to focus on Thailand SMEs and give our full support to partners and customers in the region.”
