Companies sign up for low-carbon energy and environmental protection subsection at CIIE
Nearly 50 multinational enterprises have registered for the fourth China International Import Expo's subsection that showcases low-carbon energy and environmental protection products and services, the CIIE bureau announced on Tuesday.
This subsection, which will span over 11,000 square meters, will be located within the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Exhibition Area at the expo.
The subsection, which was launched at the third CIIE last year, will facilitate the pooling of global resources and act as an international platform for communication and cooperation among domestic and foreign enterprises, said Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of the bureau.
"It will also accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the low-carbon energy industry in China and play a key role in environmental protection," Liu said.
Yang Bo, deputy director of the National Energy Conservation Center, which took part in the construction of the zone, said the center will enhance international cooperation in the field of energy conservation and promote the practical application of advanced products and experiences domestically.
"Low-carbon energy and environmental protection require joint efforts from governments and enterprises. As always, we'll be dedicated to facilitating sustainable development through technological innovation," said Li Bin, vice president of the energy business department of Alfa Laval China, a Sweden-based supplier of heat transfer products and solutions.
