China's battery makers see lower revenue
China's major battery manufacturers reported lower revenue and profits during the first four months of this year, official data showed.
Revenues of major battery companies shrank 13.5 percent year-on-year to 190.61 billion yuan ($27 billion) during the period, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Profits of major battery makers dropped by 19.5 percent to 5.21 billion yuan from a year earlier.
Among the industry's staple products, lithium-ion batteries logged an output of 4.15 billion units during the period, down 5.4 percent year-on-year.
