China Brand Day rolls out online
The 2020 China Brand Day rolled out on Sunday in Beijing for the first time online.
The event, which unfolded on the internet to prevent coronavirus risks, featured a Chinese brand expo and an international forum with more than 1,300 companies taking part.
Many companies showed off their latest medicines and vaccine developments.
Beijing's intelligent manufacturing section focused on artificial intelligence, smart equipment, energy efficiency and new materials.
The service section displayed brands moving forward in food safety, agricultural technology and daily needs.
An official with Beijing's Development and Reform Commission said the area for this year's event aimed at promoting Beijing's 48 brands to motivate companies' innovation and creativity in the capital.
China Brand Day was created by the National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner, along with the ministries of commerce, agriculture and rural affairs. The Shanghai municipal government also played a role.
