Chinese company delivers 100th 777 empennage tip to Boeing
A Chinese aviation component manufacturer delivered the 100th 777 empennage tip to the Boeing Company on Monday.
AVIC SAC Commercial Aircraft Company (SACC), based in the Northeast Chinese city of Shenyang, started delivering 777 empennage tips to Boeing on May 25, 2016 and is the only global provider of the component to the US airplane manufacturer.
The delivery of the 100th 777 empennage tip showed that the strategic cooperation between SACC and Boeing has achieved fruitful results, said an executive with SACC.
The SACC said it would continue to expand the scale and scope of cooperation with Boeing in the future.
In recent years, Shenyang, an important aviation base in China, has made rapid progress in areas such as civil aircraft auxiliary industries and aircraft engine manufacturing.
