Autoneum opens two plants in China
Autoneum Holding, an automotive acoustic and thermal management parts supplier headquartered in Switzerland, launched two plants in China this month, significantly expanding its local manufacturing footprint.
One of the factories -- in Pinghu in east China’s Zhejiang province -- is producing textile underbodies. It can churn out 5.5 million textile underbody components annually at full capacity, Autoneum said.
The other plant is in the northeast China city of Shenyang. It can produce some 7.5 million carpet systems, inner dashes, floor insulators and heat shields.
With the opening of the two new factories, Autoneum now operates 10 factories in China to supply a wide range of European, American and Chinese automakers.
