Chinese machinery, electronics products show kicks off in Manila
A three-day China machinery and electronics brand products show kicked off in the Philippine capital on Thursday, showcasing the cutting-edge technologies and the latest innovation achievements of China in these fields.
The brand products show is wide-ranging, covering the products and services from automobiles and motorcycles, building materials and hardware products, communication and automation supplies, electronic household appliances, food equipment, packaging and processing, industrial machinery and construction equipment produced in China.
Tian Hui, a representative from a Chinese electronics company Konka, told Xinhua that this is the seventh time Konka has attended the brand products show in Manila and the Konka's LCD TV are becoming increasingly popular in the Philippines.
"Since the local customers are satisfied with our TV, we are now enjoying a sizable market share in the Philippines. Now, we can compete with the companies from Japan and South Korea in the Philippines," Tian said.
Besides the companies who have been attending the brand products show for years, there are many new-comers aiming to carve out a new niche for their products in the Philippine market.
Li Ying, a manager of a Chinese electrical generator enterprise, said she intended to introduce the company's latest productions to the local users.
"My company already gains a high market share in Indonesia. Now we have developed an electrical generator upon the local users' request and we hope the Filipinos will like it," Li said.
The 2018 China machinery and electronics brand products show, which is sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce, sees the 14th anniversary this year.
Machinery and electronics brand products from more than 70 Chinese companies are being showcased.
The show now is also a business sourcing and matching occasion for Chinese manufacturers and Philippine distributors.
