VW Group sales climb 15% in November
Volkswagen AG says sales of its various brands in China rose 15 percent year on year to 431,000 vehicles in November.
Volkswagen-brand deliveries in China rose 16 percent to 331,100 vehicles last month, while Audi sales increased 6.5 percent to 56,208. Skoda deliveries rose 23 percent to 37,000.
Monthly sales totals for Porsche and Bentley were unavailable.
Volkswagen Group had especially strong sales results in a slow month for the industry. In November, industry sales of light vehicles in China declined 0.03 percent.
For the first 11 months, Volkswagen Group’s China deliveries increased 3.7 percent to 3.72 million vehicles.
The German automaker is poised to finish the year as China’s top-selling foreign automaker. For the first 11 months, General Motors’ deliveries in China rose 3.3 percent to 3.55 million vehicles.
