Roechling opens Shenyang plant to supply BMW Brilliance Automotive
German supplier Roechling Automotive said it has opened a factory in the northeast city of Shenyang to produce components for BMW Brilliance Automotive.
The 16,000-square-meter (172,223-square-foot) plant employs 81 workers who produce wheel arch liners, floor panels, grille shutters, air filters and other parts. Roechling invested 3 million euros (23 million yuan) in the plant.
Roechling’s factory in Changchun has produced plastic components for BMW Brilliance since January, and the company built its Shenyang plant to meet rising demand.
The Shenyang plant is Roechling’s fifth factory in Asia. Roechling entered China in 2006 when it launched its Changchun plant. The company also has factories in Chengdu and Kunshan.
“China is a key market for Roechling and remains a focal point for our investments,” said company CEO Erwin Doll at the Shenyang plant’s opening ceremony.
