VW China commercial truck sales jump 77% in first half
Volkswagen Group said sales of commercial trucks in China jumped 77 percent year on year to 4,882 vehicles in the first six months.
In China, the German automaker markets vehicles produced by its commercial truck subsidiaries -- Scania and MAN -- as well as trucks from its Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles division.
In its earnings statement for the first half of the year, VW said the Transporter and Amarok were the most popular VW Group trucks in the region.
Worldwide, VW Group’s commercial truck units delivered 346,138 vehicles, up 5.7 percent year on year.
