Carrefour Opens Northeast Logistics Center In Shenyang
French supermarket retailer Carrefour unveiled its new northeast logistics center in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
With this move, Carrefour's six logistics and distribution centers in China are now all completed. As Carrefour's only logistics center in Northeast China, the Shenyang center was put into operation on June 15, 2016, and it is expected to significantly improve the supply efficiency in the northeast region for the company's operations.
Located in the economic zone in Yuhong district, Carrefour's new logistics center in Shenyang has a storage scale of nearly 32,000 square meters, with average annual traffic of about 80,000 tons. The new center will provide full warehousing and logistics support to nearly 30 stores in Liaoning and Heilongjiang.
Since 2014, Carrefour has completed five Chinese logistics centers in Kunshan, Chengdu, Wuhan, Tianjin, and Dongguan, respectively. With the completion of the last one in Shenyang, Carrefour China's six logistics centers will cover over 200 stores across China to realize product structure optimization and supply efficiency enhancements.
