IAC opens interior trim plant in Hangzhou
The International Automotive Components Group opened a new plant in the east China city of Hangzhou to produce door panels, instrument panels and center consoles.
The factory, which opened on July 14, will supply Changan Ford, SAIC GM and Chery Jaguar Land Rover. The 7,300-square-meter plant will employ 220 people.
Located in Zhejiang province, IAC's newest plant is located close to a number of automotive assembly plants.
IAC now has 14 facilities in China, including the company's regional headquarters in Shanghai.
The Luxembourg-based company had sales last year of $5.9 billion, and it operates 82 factories in 19 countries.
