BEIJING (AFX) - China Mobile, the country's largest mobile network operator, has received approval to reduce mobile call tariffs in the Beijing area.
Xinhua, the official news agency, said the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) approved the price reduction plan and is also reviewing a China Unicom proposal to reduce its prices.
Currently, China Mobile charges 0.4 yuan per minute for both dialing and answering local calls.
