Geely launches sales of new flagship sedan
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. launched sales of a new flagship midsize sedan, the Geely GC9, this week.
The car, with a starting price of 146,800 yuan ($23,700), is the first midsize sedan unveiled under the Geely brand after the company decided to replace its Emgrand, Gleagle and Englon subbrands with a single brand.

It is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine or a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Geely GC9 is 4,956 mm long, 1,861 mm wide and 1,513 tall, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
In the first two months of this year, the company's vehicle sales jumped 67 percent from a year earlier to 92,022 vehicles.
Geely, headquartered in the east China city of Hangzhou, also owns Volvo Car Corp.
