21st May 2014, Chongqing—e-works, Chinese Digital Enterprise Portal announced the successful conclusion of 2014 Chinese Automotive Industry IT Application Forum. The forum was supported by Chongqing CIO Association and Chongqing Logistics Association. The theme of the forum this year was the automotive industry's way to success in slight growth era.
More than 150 people including industry experts, enterprise CIOs, and large vendor representatives attend the forum. Representatives from manufacturing enterprises include Chang'an Automobile, SAIC IVECO Hongyan, Liuzhou Wuling, GITI Tire, Chongqing Endurance Industry, Wanxiang Qianchao, Zhongce Rubber, and Dongfeng Automobile. Representatives from software vendors include Ruijie Networks, ActionSoft, RSA, LG CNS, Digitaltest, Anwise, FlowPortal, LGCX, Siou SOA, HonliTech, IFS, and EpicHust.
At beginning of the forum, Dr. Pei Huang, e-works CEO delivered an open speech around the topic "the way of success in applying IT technology in automotive industry". Dr. Huang illustrated the automotive industry status, new technologies and development trend. He also analyzed under the background of slight growth the impact of IT applications on the industry as well as the difficulties.

Mr. Jun Ma, VP of Chang'an Automobile delivered a speech on "traditional manufacturers' transformation strategy and practice under the mobile internet era". He introduced the development trend and status in automotive industry and shared their practice.

Mr. Zhanmin Shi, IT Department Manager of SAIC IVECO Hongyan shared lean manufacturing, logistics management, customized lean manufacturing as well as the implementation of logistics management based on their own experience.

Mr. Wei Du, e-works Consulting Director talked around the "IT application deepwater in auto parts manufacturing". He analyzed the problems and features in applying IT technologies in auto enterprises and gave his advice.

Mr. Kai Zhang, Siou SOA Vice General Manager analyzed BOM application status in automotive industry and introduced their integrated BOM solution. Mr. Kuiren Ye from HonliTech introduced their CADdoctor solution and demonstrated HonliTech digital analog quality management system.
